After completion, you will follow our supervised plan to ensure a smooth start to your business. Additional training is provided as your business grows and as new product lines are added.

Closet Factory was established in 1983. We do more than custom closets. We have been providing our customers with truly custom storage solutions for different areas of the home, including the home office, garage, entertainment centers, kids' rooms, pantries and more. Rather than offering our clients pre-sized or semi-custom products, we create individualized custom solutions from scratch. Every single job is custom designed and manufactured after interviewing the client, measuring their space, taking inventory and creating a unique design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing to the client.

Closet Factory provides you with a total of six weeks of training for you and your staff. Two weeks of franchisee training are provided at our corporate offices. During the grand opening of your location, our sales trainer will provide you and your staff with two weeks of on-site sales, design, and administrative training. In addition, our operations trainer will spend two weeks guiding the setup of your factory and training you and your operations staff basic in manufacturing and installation.

You are not required to have closet industry experience or even know how to use a hammer. Experience managing a business successfully or having a background in sales, management or marketing can be helpful. Closet Factory requires that the franchisee participate in the day-to-day management of the business; this is not an absentee ownership business.

Training combines classroom work, home study, meetings, seminars and on-the-job experience including working with an experienced interior decorator. Secondary, advanced and graduate certification training continues throughout the franchise owner's career with Decorating Den.

A "Passion to Decorate" and a "Flair for Color" are a must. No previous professional design experience is necessary. Good people skills and a desire for independence is also helpful.
