 Marketing is a primary component of any successful service based franchise. CruiseOne provides it franchise owners with a large group of turnkey programs and tools that allow them to develop their local markets. These programs are arranged into "niche groups" which enables each individual business owner to select the right mix to meet their goals.
One of the major features of the CruiseOne system is the ability to generate a significant amount of cooperative funds from our cruise line partners. This is achieved by leveraging CruiseOne's collective volume of nearly $100 million in annual cruise sales and passing opportunities along to each owner on an optional basis. Because of this cruise line support, there is no monthly minimum advertising fee and marketing materials are provided to our members at subsidies ranging up to 75%.
In addition to national cooperative initiatives, there are significant funds available from local cruise line Sales Managers. This permits a local franchise owner to engage in marketing campaigns, on a global and local level. The end result is a large and credible national brand, represented by a network of dedicated franchise owners who have a tremendous amount of flexibility.
 Training and support is an ongoing process at CruiseOne. Each new franchise owner attends a comprehensive 8 day training program at our corporate headquarters in Florida. During the course of this training, franchisees learn sales and marketing programs, closing techniques, office administration and how to operate the CruiseOne reservation system. Each class is taught by experienced CruiseOne staff. We arrange ship inspections in Miami and Fort Lauderdale to allow franchisees to view several contemporary cruise ships. In addition, each breakfast and lunch event is a learning experience with sales executives from our major cruise line partners presenting their products and sales techniques. The cost of initial training is included in the franchise fee.
Initial training is just the start. Once a new franchise returns home, they are assigned a mentor from our Member Services and Customer Care departments. These staff members assist new members in getting their new business started and guide them in each process.
Also, each year CruiseOne conducts several optional Seminars at Sea, regional meetings, online training courses and our signature National Conference is held each fall. Our training programs are regarded by cruise industry executives as a serious and well managed effort and a large contributor to our upward sales track every year. Each training module is conducted by experienced senior management staff.

 With a service-based business like CruiseOne, the cost of entry is very reasonable. Unlike many fast food or store front retail businesses, there is no need to make a major investment in fixtures, furnishings and specialized equipment. Cruise line partners provide a significant amount of additional support in the form of brochures, training aids and custom collateral at little or no cost. A significant amount of local cooperative advertising funds is available to each franchise owner annually.
Aside from the initial franchise fee of $9800, you should have sufficient working capital to support your living expenses for up to one year and funds to invest in advertising and promotions. The majority of existing CruiseOne franchises operate out of their homes, but locating in retail or office space is an option. The majority of our technology applications are internet based requiring all franchises to have access to high speed cable or DSL service.
